The HD3000’s embedded MCU has robust capabilities and features, usually found only in expensive, dedicated MCUs, but is simple to use and administer. Participants can dial into a multipoint videoconference, or the administrator can set up a dial-out conference, instantly connecting all parties. The HD3000 implements audio and video transcoding to enable each participant to receive the best video and audio experience possible and includes chair control for maximum manageability. Additionally, the HD3000 incorporates speed matching, allowing endpoints to connect at different speeds, maintaining the best audio and video supported by that endpoint. The HD3000’s embedded MCU is included as a standard feature.
The HD3000 incorporates multiple ways of streaming live videoconferences both over the corporate network and over the Internet, during a point-to-point or multipoint conference. Additionally, users can participate in high-bandwidth videoconferences, while streaming those conferences over the Internet at a lower and more appropriate bandwidth. Users can simultaneously stream a presentation and live video to the remote site. The streaming capabilities of the HD3000 can be accessed via the web-based manager, allowing the network administrator to begin and end streaming, freeing up the conference leader.
